Important Note

This tech support topic applies to the old Cliptures floppy disks and versions of Windows prior to Windows XP. We have not sold the floppy disk versions of any Cliptures volumes in well over 5 years and no longer support them. We do have some customers still running older versions of Windows 3 and Windows 95. The information below may work if you have an older computer system and an old version of PrintShop. We continue to keep this information in our tech support archives in case it is of benefit to anyone but we no longer even have systems old enough to do any further testing or tech support for these older systems and software.

Question

I upgraded to Print Shop 6 (Deluxe or Regular) and now my older Cliputres libraries will not work with it. I can't install them nor will PrintShop 6 read the libraries I had previously installed.

Answer

PrintShop 6 does not use the PrintShop libraries format so there is no way to install the Cliptures libraries or have the old Cliptures libraries work with PrintShop 6. This was a dramatic change made by Broderbund. As a part of that change, they also ended the agreement Dream Maker Software had with them allowing us to put our images into the PrintShop library formats.

With the terminaton of that agrement, we have changed the format for our Cliptures volumes. Please understand, this was not a bad thing but actually a very good thing!

Solution

Order a new Cliptures CD disc. Each Cliptures volume is now available individually on a CD disc. All of the graphics are in individual graphic files. They are still compatible with ALL Windows versions of PrintShop but they are now also much easier to use with other programs too!
