Computer Scrapbooking Page Ideas
Back to School Bus
This type of scrapbook page layout is quick and easy to do! The Cliptures clipart imported into a layout program and scaled to size. Text is added and sized as well. The layout is printed and the unprinted edges are cut off. A complimentary piece of paper is used to create a border for the page. Frames are cut for the photos and both the frames and photos are attached to the page.
Materials:
- Cliptures: Clipart from Cliptures #12 - School 1
- Paper: White for printing layout, red for background sheet, and dark blue for photo frames.
- Scrapbooking glue or adhesive.
- Paper cutter or straight edge ruler, craft knife, and cutting mat for trimming inner layout sheet.
- Decorative edge scrapbook scissors for cutting photo frames.
Directions:
1. Start a new document in your layout program. Change the background color of the layout to blue. (If your program won't let you change the background color of the page, see Adding a Background Color.)
2. Import the school bus from Vol. 12 into your document. Scale it to about 2 1/2" tall and position it in the upper left area of the layout.
3. Import the school house image from Vol. 12. Scale it to about 2 3/4" tall and position it in the lower right area of the layout.
4. Add whatever text you like to your layout. (See Adding Text and Temporary Shapes.)
5. Print the layout on white paper.
6. Trim the unprinted edges from the page.
7. Center and attach the trimmed page to the background sheet with scrapbook adhesive.
8. Cut frames for photos with decorative edge scissors.
9. Attach the frames and photos to the layout.
That's it!
