Haunted House
For this scrapbook page, a Cliptures image is enlarged and cropped so that only part of it is printed and visible on the layout. The other 2 images are added to the layout along with the text. The scrapbook layout is printed, and attached to a sheet of colored background paper. Then, the frames and photos are attached to the layout.
Directions:
1. Start a new document in your layout program. Change the background color of the layout to dark purple or violet. (If your program won't let you change the background color of the page, see Adding a Background Color.)
2. Import the haunted house from Vol. 7 into your document. Enlarge it to about 7" tall.
3. Position the haunted house in the lower left corner of the page so that the bottom and left sides of the house are off the layout. (The bottom and left sides of the house will actually be off the printed part of the page.)
4. Import the ghost from Vol. 15. Scale the image to about 1" tall and position it above the tree.
5. Import the witch from Vol. 15. Scale her to about 2" tall and position her in the upper right corner of the layout.
6. Add whatever text you like to the layout and color as desired. We added the "Boo", "Eek" and "Yeow" text and gave them some nice contrasting colors.
7. Use some temporary shapes for your photos to help get everything positioned properly. (See Temporary Shapes.)
8. After all the elements are properly positioned, delete the temporary shapes.
9. Print the layout on white paper and trim the unprinted edges from the page.
10. Attach the trimmed page to the background sheet with scrapbook adhesive.
11. Trim your photos to their final sizes.
12. Cut the frames for the photos with decorative edge scissors.
13. Arrange and attach the frames and photos to the layout page with scrapbook adhesive.
That's it!
