Happy Halloween

The Cliptures clipart for this scrapbook page is imported and arranged in a layout program. The layout is printed, the edges trimmed, and the trimmed page is attached to a background sheet. Frames for the photos are cut from paper and, along with the photos, attached to the layout.

Materials:

-Cliptures: 2 larger images from Cliptures #16 Occasions 2, Spiders and trick or treater silhouettes from Cliptures #7 Fun Accents 1

-Paper: White for printing layout, and orange for background sheet.

-Scrapbooking glue or adhesive.

-Paper cutter or straight edge ruler, craft knife, and cutting mat for trimming inner layout sheet.

-Decorative edge scrapbook scissors for cutting photo frames.

Directions:
1. Start a new document in your layout program. Change the background color of the layout to a light purple or violet. (If your program won't let you change the background color of the page, see Adding a Background Color.)

2. Import the Happy Halloween image and scale to about 2 1/2" tall. Center the image at the top of the layout.

3. Import the halloween gang image and scale it to about 3 1/2" tall. Center the image at the bottom of the layout.

4. Import the spider web image and scale it to about 2" tall. Position it in the top left corner of the layout.

5. Make a duplicate of the spider web image and flip it. (See Duplicating Images tip.) Position the second image in the upper right corner of the layout.

6. Import the trick or treater silhouettes and scale the image to about 3/4" tall. Position it in the lower left corner of the layout.

7. Make a duplicate of the trick or treater image and position it in the lower right corner of the layout.

8. Add text for the year or whatever other text you might want to the layout.

9. Print the layout on white paper.

10. Trim the unprinted edges from the page.

11. Center and attach the trimmed sheet onto orange background paper with scrapbook adhesive.

12. Cut oval frames for you photos with decorative edge scissors.

13. Trim your photos to fit the ovals.

14. Attach oval photo frames to the page with scrapbook adhesive. (If you like, you could also go around the edges of the frames with a black scrapbooking pen to add a little more decoration.)

15, Attach your photos to the photo frames with scrapbook adhesive.
