Christmas Holly

This scrapbook page uses a single Cliptures image that is duplicated and placed in opposite corners of the layout. The images are printed, trimmed, and along with photos, frames and text attached to two sheets of layered background paper.

Materials:

- Cliptures: Image from Cliptures #7 Fun Accents 1

- Paper: White for printing images, red and yellow for background sheets, and blue for photo frames.

- Scrapbooking glue or adhesive.

- Craft knife, straight edge ruler, and cutting mat for trimming the images and trimming background paper.

- Decorative edge scrapbook scissors for cutting photo frames.

Directions:

1. Start a new document in your layout program.

2. Import the Christmas holly image and scale it to about 2 3/4" tall.

3. Make a duplicate copy of the image. (See Duplicating Images) Don't worry about rotating the image since it will be cut out from the printed page.

4. Create any text you want to use as a page topper (headline) for the page.

5. Arrange the images and text on the page for printing. (See Paper Saver)

6. Print the page with on white paper.

7. Using a craft knife and cutting mat, or scissors, trim the images leaving an even amount of white space all the way around each image. (This is much easier than trying to trim right up to the edges and it creates a nice design too!)

8. Cut the inner background sheet of paper to 7 1/2" by 10", center, and attach to the border background sheet with scrapbook adhesive.

9. Trim your photos to their final sizes.

10. Cut the frames for the photos with decorative edge scissors.

11. Arrange and attach all of the elements to the background sheets.

That's it!
