Merry Christmas 1

An easy to do scrapbook page! The Cliptures clipart is imported into a page layout program, positioned, and scaled to size. Temporary shapes are made to reserve the space for the photographs and frames. Everything is positioned, the layout is printed, trimmed, and attached to a background sheet of paper. Frames are cut for the photos and then the frames and photos are attached to the page.

Materials:

- Cliptures: Image from Cliptures #16 Occasions 2

- Paper: White for printing layout, dark blue for background sheet.

- Scrapbooking glue or adhesive.

- Decorative edge scrapbook scissors for cutting photo frames.

1. Start a new document in your layout program. Change the background color of the layout to a light blue. (If your program won't let you change the background color of the page, see Adding a Background Color.)

2. Create shapes to use as temporary place holders for your photos. (See Temporary Shapes.)

3. Import the Christmas image, scale it to about 3 3/4" tall and position it in the lower right corner of the layout.

4. Arrange the images and the temporary place holders for your pictures on the page.

5. Add any text you might want. (See Adding Text.)

6. After everything is in position, save the layout. (In case you want to modify it or use it again.)

7. You saved it right? OK, delete the place holders from the layout.

8. Print the layout on white paper.

9. Trim the unprinted edges (1/2") from all 4 sides of the sheet.

10. Center and attach the trimmed sheet onto the background paper with scrapbook adhesive.

11. Cut frames for your photos with decorative edge scissors.

12. Attach the frames and photos to the layout.

That's it!
